The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the Northumberland Indians (Heathsville, VA) and the visiting Colonial Beach Drifters (Colonial Beach, VA), saw Northumberland's baseball team gain a win over Colonial Beach by a tally of 17-1.

The Indians (15-2) will now prepare for their battle against Rappahannock (Warsaw, VA). The Raiders enter the Northern Neck battle with a 14-2 record. In their last battle, Rappahannock prevailed over Westmoreland (Montross, VA), 16-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Drifters face the Lancaster Red Devils (Lancaster, VA) in a Northern Neck battle, on Monday, May 12. Colonial Beach will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Red Devils enter the battle with a 10-9 record after their 3-1 league loss to Essex (Tappahannock, VA).
