In Thursday's league game, the host Washburn/Wilton/Center-Stanton Cardinals baseball team scored a close 4-1 win over the Hazen Bison.
The Cardinals (7-4) will now prepare for their game against Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky] (Turtle Lake, ND). The Cougars go into the non-league game with a 2-7 record. In their last game, Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky] nudged South Prairie/Max (Minot, ND), 13-0, in a league game.
