The Romeoville Spartans baseball team scored 4 runs and held the host Joliet West Tigers to 2 in the Spartans league win on Thursday.

The Spartans now hold a 14-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kaneland for a non-league test on Saturday, May 10. Romeoville will play a Knights team coming off a 10-2 league loss to Morris (Morris, IL). The Knights record now stands at 16-8.

With the defeat, Joliet West drops to 12-15 on the year. The Tigers travel to Plainfield East (Plainfield, IL) to play the Bengals in a Southwest Prairie test on Monday, May 12. The Bengals go into the test with a record of 7-20. Plainfield East lost 16-2 in their recent non-league test against Sandburg (Orland Park, IL)
