The Peabody Veterans Memorial Tanners baseball team scored 9 runs and held the host Marblehead Magicians to 0 in the Tanners non-league win on Thursday.

The Tanners now hold a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Swampscott for a Northeastern - South test on Friday, May 9. Peabody Veterans Memorial will play a Big Blue team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Winthrop (Winthrop, MA). The Big Blue record now stands at 9-5.

With the defeat, Marblehead drops to 7-7 on the year. The Magicians travel to Gloucester (Gloucester, MA) to play the Fishermen in a non-league test on Friday, May 9. The Fishermen go into the test with a record of 10-2. Gloucester won 4-2 in their recent non-league test against Saugus (Saugus, MA)
