Connecticut High School Baseball - Platt defeats New Britain

May 8, 2025: Meriden, CT 06451

The Platt Panthers (Meriden, CT) baseball trounced the visiting New Britain Golden Hurricanes (New Britain, CT), 9-1 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 11-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Windsor for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 9. Platt will clash with a Warriors team coming off a 5-4 league win over East Hartford (East Hartford, CT). The Warriors record now stands at 7-2.

With the defeat, New Britain drops to 9-6 on the year. The Golden hurricanes travel to Maloney (Meriden, CT) to clash with the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 12. The Spartans go into the challenge with a record of 7-5. Maloney won 2-1 in their recent league challenge against Plainville (Plainville, CT)
