The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Schulenburg Shorthorns (Schulenburg, TX) and the host Premont Cowboys (Premont, TX), saw Schulenburg's baseball team beat Premont by a margin of 5-1.
The Shorthorns (10-11) will now prepare for their battle against Johnson City (Johnson City, TX). The Eagles enter the non-league battle with a 26-2 record. In their last battle, Johnson City held off Mumford (Mumford, TX), 10-2, in a non-league battle.
