In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Schaumburg Saxons volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Palatine Pirates.

The Saxons (16-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Fenton (Bensenville, IL). The Bison come into the non-league challenge with a 13-16 record. In their last challenge, Fenton edged Zion-Benton (Zion, IL), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Pirates meet the Fremd Vikings (Palatine, IL) in a challenge, on Tuesday, May 13. Palatine will attempt to upgrade on its 11-15 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 13-13 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Wheaton North (Wheaton, IL).
