The Covington Buccs baseball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Miami East Vikings to 8 in the Buccs non-league win on Thursday.

The Buccs now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Newton Local for a non-league test on Friday, May 9. Covington will play a Indians team coming off a 9-2 non-league loss to Troy (Troy, OH). The Indians record now stands at 1-7.

With the defeat, Miami East drops to 2-3 on the year. The Vikings travel to Lehman Catholic (Sidney, OH) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league test on Saturday, May 10.
