In Thursday's league outing, the host Auburn Eagles soccer squad scored a tight 4-0 victory over the George Wythe Maroons.
The Eagles (9-3) will now prepare for their outing against James River (Buchanan, VA). The Knights go into the non-league outing with a 2-9 record. In their last outing, James River by Carroll County (Hillsville, VA), 4-0, in a league outing.
Next up, the Maroons play the Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA) in a Mountain Empire outing, on Monday, May 12. George Wythe will attempt to improve on its 9-5 season record. The Maroon Tide go into the outing with a 11-2 record after their 8-0 league win over Grayson County (Independence, VA).
