The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Chequamegon Screaming Eagles (Park Falls, WI) and the visiting Athens Bluejays (Athens, WI), observed Chequamegon's softball team get by Athens by a final score of 12-10.

The Screaming Eagles (6-7) will now prepare for their bout against Northland Pines (Eagle River, WI). The Eagles go into the non-league bout with a 0-10 record. In their last bout, Northland Pines by Rhinelander (Rhinelander, WI), 12-3, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Bluejays battle the Assumption Royals (Wisconsin Rapids, WI) in a non-league bout, on Friday, May 9. Athens will attempt to better on its 4-8 season record. The Royals go into the bout with a 12-4 record after their 13-0 league win over Newman (Wausau, WI).
