The Catholic Central Hilltoppers softball team scored 14 runs and held the visiting St. Francis Mariners to 3 in the Hilltoppers league win on Thursday.

The Hilltoppers now possess a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Luther Prep for a Midwest Classic battle on Friday, May 9. Catholic Central will confront a Phoenix team coming off a 9-1 league win over Living Word Lutheran (Jackson, WI). The Phoenix record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, St. Francis moves to 5-9 on the season. The Mariners travel to Milwaukee Lutheran (Milwaukee, WI) to confront the Red Knights in a non-league battle on Friday, May 9. The Red Knights come into the battle with a record of 2-8. Milwaukee Lutheran won 18-8 in their recent non-league battle against Augustine Prep (Milwaukee, WI)
