In Thursday's league test, the Upper Lake Cougars (Upper Lake, CA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Clear Lake Cardinals (Lakeport, CA), by a tally of 12-2.

Next, the Cougars clash with the Middletown Mustangs (Middletown, CA) in a North Central I test, on Friday, May 9. Upper Lake will attempt to advance on its 5-8 season record. The Mustangs go into the test with a 5-12 record after their 13-3 league loss to St. Helena (St. Helena, CA).

The Cardinals (7-8) will now prepare for their test against Lower Lake (Lower Lake, CA). The Trojans go into the North Central I test with a 8-11 record. In their last test, Lower Lake was routed by Upper Lake (Upper Lake, CA), 17-6, in a league test.
