The Culpeper County Blue Devils (Culpeper, VA) softball routed the visiting James Monroe Yellow Jackets (Fredericksburg, VA), 11-1 in Thursday's league outing.

The Blue Devils now own a 8-9 record. They play next when they host Albemarle for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 9. Culpeper County will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 2-10.

The Yellow Jackets (4-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Courtland (Spotsylvania, VA). The Cougars enter the Battlefield challenge with a 6-10 record.
