The East Boston Jets triumphed over the host Somerville Highlanders softball squad by a count of 22-16 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Jets play the Newton South Lions (Newton, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, May 12. East Boston will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 18-3 non-league win over Waltham (Waltham, MA).

The Highlanders (1-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Everett (Everett, MA). The Crimson Tide enter the Greater Boston challenge with a 10-2 record.
