The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Fair Haven Slaters (Fair Haven, VT) and the visiting Springfield Cosmos (Springfield, VT), observed Fair Haven's softball team prevail over Springfield by a tally of 13-5.

The Slaters (1-5) will now prepare for their bout against Whitehall (Whitehall, NY). The Railroaders go into the non-league bout with a 2-2 record. In their last bout, Whitehall knocked off Fort Edward (Fort Edward, NY), 13-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Cosmos clash with the Bellows Falls Terriers (Bellows Falls, VT) in a SVL B bout, on Monday, May 12. Springfield will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Terriers go into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 4-2 non-league loss to Burr & Burton (Manchester, VT).
