The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Hemlock Huskies (Hemlock, MI) and the visiting Garber Dukes (Essexville, MI), observed Hemlock's softball team get by Garber by a tally of 2-1.

The Huskies (8-4) will now prepare for their bout against Ithaca (Ithaca, MI). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league bout with a 20-3 record. In their last bout, Ithaca tipped Holly (Holly, MI), 4-2, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Dukes clash with the Ithaca Yellowjackets (Ithaca, MI) in a non-league bout, on Friday, May 9. Garber will attempt to advance on its 8-10 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 17-3 record after their 8-4 non-league win over Freeland (Freeland, MI).
