The Jefferson Area Falcons softball squad (Jefferson, OH), was routed 12-6 in Thursday's league contest with the host Perry Pirates (Perry, OH)

With the triumph, Perry improves its record to 17-5 on the year. The Pirates host Wickliffe (Wickliffe, OH) to face the Blue Devils in a non-league contest on Friday, May 9. The Blue Devils enter the contest with a record of 10-6. Wickliffe won 14-0 in their recent league contest against Kirtland (Kirtland, OH)

The Falcons now hold a 10-11 record. They play next when they travel to Berkshire for a non-league contest on Monday, May 12. Jefferson Area will face a Badgers squad coming off a 8-5 non-league loss to Garfield (Garrettsville, OH). The Badgers record now stands at 9-5.
