The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Seneca Fighting Irish (Seneca, IL) and the host Marquette Crusaders (Ottawa, IL), observed Seneca's softball team get by Marquette by a final score of 11-7.

The Fighting Irish (25-0) will now prepare for their bout against Manteno (Manteno, IL). The Panthers go into the non-league bout with a 17-4 record. In their last bout, Manteno tipped Joliet Catholic (Joliet, IL), 11-10, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Crusaders battle the Putnam County Panthers (Granville, IL) in a Tri-County bout, on Friday, May 9. Marquette will attempt to better on its 19-6 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 13-12 record after their 11-0 league loss to St. Bede (Peru, IL).
