Rhode Island High School Softball - Smithfield bounces North Kingstown

May 8, 2025: North Kingstown, RI 02852

The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI) and the host North Kingstown Skippers (North Kingstown, RI), observed Smithfield's softball team prevail over North Kingstown by a tally of 10-0.

The Sentinels (8-3) will now prepare for their bout against Pilgrim (Warwick, RI). The Patriots go into the Division 1 bout with a 12-1 record. In their last bout, Pilgrim knocked off Coventry (Coventry, RI), 10-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Skippers clash with the Westerly Bulldogs (Westerly, RI) in a Division 1 bout, on Saturday, May 10. North Kingstown will attempt to advance on its 5-8 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 8-7 record after their 12-3 league win over Cumberland (Cumberland, RI).
