Illinois High School Softball - Stark County succumbs to Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge]

May 8, 2025: Woodhull, IL 61490

In Thursday's league test, the Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] Spartans (Woodhull, IL) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Stark County Rebels (Toulon, IL), by a tally of 10-0.

Next, the Spartans clash with the Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes (Abingdon, IL) in a Lincoln Trail test, on Saturday, May 10. Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] will attempt to advance on its 18-7 season record. The Tornadoes go into the test with a 9-14 record after their 15-3 league loss to Knoxville (Knoxville, IL).

The Rebels (10-12) will now prepare for their test against Monmouth United (Monmouth, IL). The Red Storm go into the Lincoln Trail test with a 4-22 record. In their last test, Monmouth United was routed by Princeville (Princeville, IL), 14-1, in a league test.
