Stevens Point Panthers (Stevens Point, WI) supporters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad topple the visiting Wausau East Lumberjacks (Wausau, WI), 23-2 in a league game.
With the triumph, Stevens Point improves its record to 17-6 on the year. The Panthers travel to Wausau West (Wausau, WI) to play the Warriors in a Wisconsin Valley game on Tuesday, May 13. The Warriors enter the game with a record of 5-11.
The Lumberjacks now hold a 1-14 record. They play next when they host Athens for a non-league game on Monday, May 12.
