The Bend Lava Bears baseball team scored 15 runs and held the visiting Summit Storm to 2 in the Lava Bears league win on Friday.
The Lava Bears now hold a 18-6 record. They take the field next when they host Ridgeview for a 5A Intermountain test on Tuesday, May 19.
With the defeat, Summit drops to 13-7 on the year. The Storm host Redmond (Redmond, OR) to play the Panthers in a 5A Intermountain test on Tuesday, May 12. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 4-16. Redmond lost 14-9 in their recent league test against Mountain View (Bend, OR)
