In Friday's non-league game, the host Wayne Hills Patriots baseball team scored a close 7-3 win over the Wayne Valley Indians.

The Patriots (14-5) will now prepare for their game against West Milford (West Milford, NJ). The Highlanders go into the Big North - Independence game with a 13-5 record. In their last game, West Milford was overwhelmed by Pompton Lakes (Pompton Lakes, NJ), 6-5, in a non-league game.

Next, the Indians play the Passaic Valley Hornets (Little Falls, NJ) in a Big North - Independence game, on Monday, May 11. Wayne Valley will attempt to improve on its 8-12 season record. The Hornets go into the game with a 8-12 record after their 10-4 non-league loss to Passaic County Tech (Wayne, NJ).
