The crowd at Monday's league test between the Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) and the host Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), saw Freedom's soccer squad knock off Ashe County by a margin of 4-1.

The Patriots now sport a 12-4 record. They play next when they host Watauga for a Northwestern 3A/4A test on Wednesday, May 11. Freedom will meet a Pioneers squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Pioneers record now stands at 14-3.

With the loss, Ashe County drops to 5-12 on the season. The Huskies host South Caldwell (Hudson, NC) to meet the Spartans in a Northwestern 3A/4A test on Thursday, May 12. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 7-11. South Caldwell won 3-0 in their recent league test against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC)
