Madison Patriots (Marshall, NC) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC), 2-1 in a league challenge.

The Warhorses now have a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they host Polk County for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 11. Owen will confront a Wolverines team coming off a 6-2 non-league win over East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC). The Wolverines record now stands at 5-13.
