Albemarle Patriots (Charlottesville, VA) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Charlottesville Black Knights (Charlottesville, VA), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Patriots face the Goochland Bulldogs (Goochland, VA) in a Jefferson challenge, on Wednesday, May 11. Albemarle will attempt to better on its 10-2 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 3-9 record after their 3-1 league loss to Monticello (Charlottesville, VA).

The Black Knights now have a 10-2 record. They take the field next when they host Louisa County for a Jefferson challenge on Thursday, May 12. Charlottesville will face a Lions team coming off a 9-0 league loss to Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA). The Lions record now stands at 0-13.
