Spectators at Monday's league match between the Metea Valley Mustangs (Aurora, IL) and the visiting DeKalb Barbs (DeKalb, IL), witnessed Metea Valley's softball squad tip DeKalb by a count of 15-14.

The Mustangs now sport a 6-12 record. They play next when they travel to Waubonsie Valley for a DuPage Valley match on Tuesday, May 10. Metea Valley will face a Warriors squad coming off a 20-3 league loss to Naperville Central (Naperville, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 7-14.

With the loss, DeKalb moves to 2-16 on the season. The Barbs host Naperville North (Naperville, IL) to face the Huskies in a DuPage Valley match on Tuesday, May 10. The Huskies go into the match with a record of 17-2. Naperville North lost 6-3 in their recent league match against Neuqua Valley (Naperville, IL)
