Stroudsburg Mountaineers (Stroudsburg, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting East Stroudsburg South Cavaliers (East Stroudsburg, PA), 8-0 in a league challenge.

The Mountaineers now sport a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pen Argyl for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 10. Stroudsburg will face a Green Knights squad coming off a 8-3 league loss to Bangor (Bangor, PA). The Green Knights record now stands at 10-6.

With the loss, East Stroudsburg South falls to 8-10 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Pocono Mountain East (Swiftwater, PA) to face the Cardinals in a Eastern Pennsylvania Conference challenge on Tuesday, May 10. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 4-13. Pocono Mountain East won 16-14 in their recent league challenge against East Stroudsburg North (Dingmans Ferry, PA)
