Hoquiam Grizzlies (Hoquiam, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Forks Spartans (Forks, WA), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Grizzlies now own a 9-5 record. They take the field next when they host Elma for a 1A Evergreen challenge on Thursday, May 12. Hoquiam will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 8-4 non-league win over Lakes (Lakewood, WA). The Eagles record now stands at 5-10.

With the loss, Forks falls to 12-5 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Raymond (Raymond, WA) to battle the Seagulls in a 2B Pacific challenge on Tuesday, May 10. The Seagulls enter the challenge with a record of 12-4. Raymond won 8-7 in their recent league challenge against Ocosta (Westport, WA)
