The Hammond Central Red Devils (Hammond, NY) softball the visiting Hermon-DeKalb Central Demons (DeKalb Junction, NY), 4-0 in Monday's league bout.

The Red Devils (5-3) will now prepare for their bout against Edwards-Knox (Russell, NY). The Cougars go into the Section 10 West bout with a 6-1 record. In their last bout, Edwards-Knox held off Morristown Central (Morristown, NY), 9-1, in a league bout.

The Demons now possess a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Harrisville for a Section 10 West bout on Tuesday, May 10. Hermon-DeKalb Central will confront a Pirates squad coming off a 23-17 league loss to Edwards-Knox (Russell, NY). The Pirates record now stands at 0-8.
