Weaver Beavers (Hartford, CT) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Metropolitan Learning Center Dragons (Bloomfield, CT), 14-10 in a non-league challenge.

The Beavers now sport a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bulkeley for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 12. Weaver will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 23-3 league loss to Plainville (Plainville, CT). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-7.

With the loss, Metropolitan Learning Center falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Dragons host Capital Prep (Hartford, CT) to face the Trailblazers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 11. The Trailblazers enter the challenge with a record of 0-3.
