Riverheads Gladiators (Staunton, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad smash the visiting Waynesboro Little Giants (Waynesboro, VA), 55-14 in a non-league challenge.

The Gladiators now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Stuarts Draft for a Shenandoah challenge on Friday, May 13.

With the loss, Waynesboro falls to 2-11 on the campaign. The Little giants travel to Wilson Memorial (Fishersville, VA) to battle the Green Hornets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 10. The Green Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 6-11. Wilson Memorial won 10-7 in their recent league challenge against Buffalo Gap (Swoope, VA)
