Goochland Bulldogs (Goochland, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA), 14-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they host Albemarle for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 11. Goochland will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 9-7 non-league win over Massaponax (Spotsylvania, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 2-11.

With the loss, Monticello falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Orange County (Orange, VA) to battle the Fighting Hornets in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 11. The Fighting Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 10-2. Orange County lost 4-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Louisa County (Mineral, VA)
