Academy of the New Church Lions (Bryn Athyn, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Westtown (West Chester, PA), 1-0 in a league challenge.

The Lions now own a 10-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shipley for a Friends Schools challenge on Friday, May 12.

With the loss, Westtown falls to 0-3 on the campaign.
