Broadway Gobblers (Broadway, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Harrisonburg Blue Streaks (Harrisonburg, VA), 5-4 in a league challenge.

The Gobblers now own a 15-5 record. They take the field next when they host Rockbridge County for a Valley challenge on Friday, May 12. Broadway will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 12-0 league loss to Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-13.

With the loss, Harrisonburg falls to 4-12 on the campaign. The Blue streaks travel to Monticello (Charlottesville, VA) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 12. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 15-1. Monticello won 4-3 in their recent league challenge against Orange County (Orange, VA)
