Jenison Wildcats (Jenison, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Grand Haven Buccaneers (Grand Haven, MI), 8-2 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 14-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wayland for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 12. Jenison will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 13-4 non-league win over Coopersville (Coopersville, MI). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-3.

With the loss, Grand Haven falls to 11-6 on the campaign. The Buccaneers host Caledonia (Caledonia, MI) to battle the Fighting Scots in a Ottawa-Kent - Red challenge on Thursday, May 11. The Fighting Scots enter the challenge with a record of 7-16. Caledonia won 15-1 in their recent league challenge against West Ottawa (Holland, MI)
