Nokomis Warriors (Newport, ME) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hermon Hawks (Hermon, ME), 5-2 in a league challenge.

The Warriors now sport a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they host Cony for a Class B North challenge on Thursday, May 11. Nokomis will face a Rams squad coming off a 12-1 league loss to Nokomis (Newport, ME). The Rams record now stands at 0-7.

With the loss, Hermon falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to John Bapst Memorial (Bangor, ME) to face the Crusaders in a Class B North challenge on Thursday, May 11. The Crusaders enter the challenge with a record of 6-2. John Bapst Memorial lost 8-1 in their recent league challenge against Ellsworth (Ellsworth, ME)
