Oak Lawn Spartans (Oak Lawn, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL), 1-0 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 11-12 record. They take the field next when they host Hillcrest for a South Suburban - Blue challenge on Thursday, May 11. Oak Lawn will face a Hawks squad coming off a 11-0 league loss to Bremen (Midlothian, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 0-13.

With the loss, Shepard falls to 16-7 on the campaign. The Astros host Bremen (Midlothian, IL) to face the Braves in a South Suburban - Blue challenge on Thursday, May 11. The Braves enter the challenge with a record of 8-15. Bremen lost 15-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Stagg (Palos Hills, IL)
