Albemarle Patriots (Charlottesville, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Charlottesville Black Knights (Charlottesville, VA), 11-1 in a league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 4-13 record. They take the field next when they host Monticello for a Jefferson challenge on Monday, May 13. Albemarle will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 7-6 league win over Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA). The Mustangs record now stands at 11-5.

With the loss, Charlottesville falls to 0-18 on the campaign. The Black knights host Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA) to battle the Warriors in a Jefferson challenge on Tuesday, May 14. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 5-12.
