Gloversville Huskies/Dragons (Gloversville, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Amsterdam Rams (Amsterdam, NY), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Huskies/Dragons now own a 2-9 record. They take the field next when they host Fonda-Fultonville for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 10. Gloversville will battle a Braves squad coming off a 13-0 league loss to Berne-Knox-Westerlo (Berne, NY). The Braves record now stands at 9-8.

With the loss, Amsterdam falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Rams host Glens Falls (Glens Falls, NY) to battle the Black Bears in a Section 2 Foothills challenge on Friday, May 10. The Black Bears enter the challenge with a record of 12-4. Glens Falls won 4-1 in their recent league challenge against Schuylerville (Schuylerville, NY)
