Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] Wolverines (Eveleth, MN) fans went home satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their softball squad tip the host Denfeld Hunters (Duluth, MN), 3-0 in a non-league battle.

The Wolverines (14-3) will now prepare for their battle against International Falls (International Falls, MN). The Broncos go into the Freelance battle with a 12-1 record. In their last battle, International Falls nudged Littlefork-Big Falls (Littlefork, MN), 10-0, in a non-league battle.

The Hunters now sport a 2-13 record. They play next when they travel to Esko for a non-league battle on Friday, May 10. Denfeld will meet a Eskomos squad coming off a 10-3 non-league win over Aitkin (Aitkin, MN). The Eskomos record now stands at 9-4.
