Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian Flying Dutchmen (Edgerton, MN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove Falcons (Lamberton, MN), 8-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Flying Dutchmen now own a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they host Adrian/Ellsworth for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 14.

With the loss, Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove falls to 5-6 on the campaign. The Falcons host Sleepy Eye (Sleepy Eye, MN) to battle the Indians in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 10. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 10-5. Sleepy Eye won 17-1 in their recent league challenge against Minnesota Valley Lutheran (New Ulm, MN)
