In Thursday's league contest, the St. Laurence Vikings (Burbank, IL) softball team held off the host Fenwick Friars (Oak Park, IL), by a margin of 3-2.
With the triumph, St. Laurence moves its record to 14-8 on the year. The Vikings travel to Stagg (Palos Hills, IL) to play the Chargers in a non-league contest on Monday, May 13. The Chargers come into the contest with a record of 4-22. Stagg lost 5-1 in their recent non-league contest against Hinsdale Central (Hinsdale, IL)
In their next game, the Friars play the Ridgewood Rebels (Norridge, IL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, May 11. Fenwick will attempt to move on its 11-7 season record. The Rebels come into the contest with a 7-14 record after their 14-1 non-league loss to Trinity (River Forest, IL).
