Hartford Hurricanes (White River Junction, VT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Otter Valley Otters (Brandon, VT), 17-9 in a league challenge.

The Hurricanes now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Fair Haven for a SVL B challenge on Saturday, May 11. Hartford will face a Slaters squad coming off a 16-4 league win over Springfield (Springfield, VT). The Slaters record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Otter Valley falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Otters travel to Mount Anthony (Bennington, VT) to face the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 14. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 8-1. Mount Anthony won 20-10 in their recent league challenge against Hartford (White River Junction, VT)
