Metamora Redbirds (Metamora, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Limestone Rockets (Bartonville, IL), 16-1 in a league challenge.

The Redbirds now own a 24-5 record. They take the field next when they host East Peoria for a Mid-Illini challenge on Tuesday, May 14.

With the loss, Limestone falls to 8-9 on the campaign. The Rockets travel to Pekin (Pekin, IL) to battle the Dragons in a Mid-Illini challenge on Tuesday, May 14. The Dragons enter the challenge with a record of 11-12.
