Meridian Mustangs (Sanford, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Shepherd Bluejays (Shepherd, MI), 7-6 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 12-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shepherd for a Jack Pine challenge on Thursday, May 9.
