Pennsylvania High School Softball - Mount Union holds off Southern Huntingdon County

May 9, 2024: Mount Union, PA 17066

Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Mount Union Trojans (Mount Union, PA) and the visiting Southern Huntingdon County Rockets (Three Springs, PA), witnessed Mount Union's softball squad tip Southern Huntingdon County by a count of 9-7.

The Trojans now sport a 10-9 record. They play next when they host Penns Valley Area for a non-league match on Monday, May 13. Mount Union will meet a Rams squad coming off a 18-6 league win over Central (Martinsburg, PA). The Rams record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Southern Huntingdon County moves to 13-6 on the season. The Rockets travel to Everett (Everett, PA) to meet the Warriors in a non-league match on Monday, May 13. The Warriors go into the match with a record of 15-2. Everett won 11-0 in their recent league match against Forbes Road (Waterfall, PA)
