The Western Branch Bruins softball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting Nansemond River Warriors to 1 in the Bruins league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Western Branch improves its record to 12-5 on the year. The Bruins host Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA) to clash with the Hornets in a Southeastern game on Tuesday, May 14.
