Virginia High School Baseball - Staunton loses to Alleghany

In Friday's non-league bout, the Alleghany Cougars (Covington, VA) baseball squad the host Staunton Storm (Staunton, VA), by a tally of 8-4.

Next up, the Cougars encounter the Radford Bobcats (Radford, VA) in a Three Rivers bout, on Monday, May 12. Alleghany will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Bobcats enter the bout with a 3-8 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Blacksburg (Blacksburg, VA).

The Storm (3-10) will now prepare for their bout against Riverheads (Staunton, VA). The Gladiators enter the Shenandoah bout with a 10-4 record. In their last bout, Riverheads edged Stonewall Jackson (Quicksburg, VA), 11-1, in a non-league bout.
