Michigan High School Baseball - Utica edged by Anchor Bay

Anchor Bay Tars (Fair Haven, MI) followers left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad nip the visiting Utica Chieftains (Utica, MI), 9-8 in a league match.

With the triumph, Anchor Bay moves its record to 11-9 on the season. The Tars host St. Clair (St. Clair, MI) to battle the Saints in a Macomb Area - White match on Monday, May 12. The Saints come into the match with a record of 6-10. St. Clair lost 1-0 in their recent non-league match against Berkley (Berkley, MI)

The Chieftains now possess a 9-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cousino for a non-league match on Saturday, May 10. Utica will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 4-2 league loss to Lamphere (Madison Heights, MI). The Patriots record now stands at 10-8.
